Nine months after leaving school, Pete travelled to New Orleans. It was his second day in the city known for being the home of jazz and he found himself in conversation with a bass player, and he ended up playing on Bourbon St that afternoon.

This was a pattern often repeated when he moved to Bristol in 2001. It quickly became clear that music was going to be his focus. Immersing himself in all kinds of music happening around town he started gigging, writing and practising at every opportunity. In 2004 he moved into a small room above the Old Duke - A Jazz and Blues Pub with live music every night - and learnt more and more from the plethora of talented and experienced musicians who are always around.

With over 200 gigs under his belt in 2005, including the Bristol Blues Festival, The Old Duke Jazz Festival, The Bristol Singer-Songwriter Festival, and opening for the James Taylor Quartet, his honest and compelling song-writing has drawn him a lot of attention. The Bristol Evening Post recently described Pete as ‘One of Bristol’s most exciting musicians’ and Jim Barr (Portishead) is eager to produce his next album. Pete is also currently in talks with various publishing companies keen to be working with him.

His solo debut ‘Propeller’ is an album about hope, loss and freedom. Engineered by Jim Barr , at J&J Studios. it features amongst many other great musicians Andy Lowe (Fortune Drive) on Bass, a song writing collaboration with chanteuse extraordinaire Beth Rowley and special guest appearances from the cream of Bristol’s music scene.
